Schlachtpartie

In the fall you have something called "Schlachtpartie" where we live. When they kill a cow or pig, they process all the pieces and during those days a lot of restaurants offer special meals: blood sausage, fresh liver, liver sausage, different meats. All served with knoedel, fresh potatoes and sauerkraut.
Not a light meal! 

Usually once per year we go. This year we went to our local restaurant up the street, Waelderstueble. It was really good and Ben got to try all of it for the first time (well, everything that he dared to try.)

I had fresh liver with rice.
