Nikolaus at the Wälderbähnle

And we got to see Nikolaus a third time that week. We took a scenic train ride with an old little steam train from Bezau to Schwarzenberg. This little train used to run for decades from Bregenz to Bezau and is a museum train now. Check out the Wälderbähnle.

All my nephews and nieces came with us and we filled up a good part of a wagon. We started in Bezau and on the ride to Schwarzenberg we picked up Nikolaus and Krampus. They were waiting in the woods and came down through the snow. At the stop in Schwarzenberg we all got off and had some Glühwein (hot mulled wine) and hot dogs. While the kids checked out the steam engine, my dad and Ben went to the local butcher to buy some sausages.

On the ride back Nikolaus came to visit us and brought all the kids a goody bag. Philipp got to hold the Stab this time and we all got to sing for him. Nikolaus stopped for a photo op near Finn and Barbara as the only adult got a bag as well :-)

We had picked a beautiful day for the ride. It was snowing a lot and Nikolaus joined us just at dusk. A really nice adventure!

Cheers Barbara!

The Glühwein was really nice
