Missing Nashville already...

The kids and I left Nashville on Saturday morning 6am and we are currently in MA with family before we fly out next week. We will get a chance to see many of our friends up here in the coming days which is really nice and the kids really enjoy playing with their cousins.
But I have to admit, I was (still am) very sad about leaving Nashville. As excited I am to show my family the Austrian Lifestyle I know I will be missing the South. The past 4 years have been a wonderful experience and lots of great things have happened while we were living there:
- We bought and sold our first home.
- We started a family and had 2 beautiful children.
- We bought and sold "grownup" cars.
- We traveled a lot and explored the South.
- I truly fell in love with my work in the non-profit world.
- I got in great shape thanks to Misty and bootcamp.
- I ran my first 1/2 marathons.
- I met a great amount of incredible people.
- And the list goes on and on.

Nashville and the wonderful friends I met there will always have a special place in my heart and I look forward to returning for a visit. Hopefully sometime soon.
Until then - everybody, save up your money and vacation days and come and see us in Austria!

Documenting our adventure

Finally my first post. Not that I do not have anything else to do :-).  But I decided that I wanted to document this wonderful journey we are going on and I just will have to make time for that.
We are leaving Nashville for good in 6 days and we are moving to Austria. Yes, Europe it is. This is something that kind of fell into our laps and we decided to take our young family on this adventure. Ben accepted a job offer on December 29th in Austria, we came back to the US on Dec 30th and we are leaving our home for the past 4 years on February 11th. Our past weeks have been pretty busy with packing up, deciding what to take, preparing our transatlantic move and most important of all: saying good byes. And this has been very bittersweet. I feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful community here in Nashville, but it also makes it hard to leave. Today we are going to Happy Hour with my wonderful previous coworkers from the PENCIL Foundation at Cinco de Mayo. Will keep you posted how Happy Hour with 2 little ones went and how many tears I will have shed ...
